DTC DETECTION LOGIC

		Signal (terminal)	Trunk lid opener switch signal (BCM connector terminal: 12)
		Threshold	When the BCM detects the open or shorted circuit of the trunk lid opener switch
		Diagnosis delay time	1 second or less

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Trunk lid opener switch
Harness or connectors (trunk lid opener switch circuit is open or shorted)
BCM

FAIL-SAFE

Confirmation Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. CONSULT
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “BCM”.
Is DTC detected?
YES>>
Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO>>
To check malfunction symptom before repair. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO>>
Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER INPUT SIGNAL

Ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect trunk lid opener switch connector.

Check voltage between trunk lid opener switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 3.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH CIRCUIT

Disconnect BCM connector.

Check continuity between BCM harness connector and trunk lid opener switch harness connector.

BCM		Trunk lid opener switch		Continuity

M84	12	M15	2	Yes

Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

BCM		—	Continuity
Connector	Terminal	—	Continuity
M84	12	Ground	No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between trunk lid opener switch harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

GO TO 4.

NO>>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER SWITCH
1. Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>
Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO>>
Replace trunk lid opener switch. Refer to Removal and Installation.
