Component Function Check

CHECK FUNCTION

CONSULT

Select "Back door/trunk lid switch" in "Data Monitor" mode of "BCM(TRUNK)".

Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions:

Is the inspection result normal?

YES >>

Trunk room lamp switch is OK.

NO >>

Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

Ignition switch OFF.

Check voltage between trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES >>

GO TO 3.

NO >>

GO TO 2.

CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH CIRCUIT

Disconnect BCM connector and trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) connector.

Check continuity between BCM harness connector and trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector.

Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES >>

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

NO >>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

Disconnect trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) connector.

Check continuity between trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector and ground.

Trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch)		—	Continuity

B59	2	Ground	Yes

Is the inspection result normal?

YES >>

GO TO 4.

NO >>

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH
1. Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>
GO TO 5.
NO >>
Replace trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch). Refer to Removal and Installation.
CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
1. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

Ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch)connector.

Check continuing between trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) terminal.

YES >>
