Component Function Check

1. CHECK FUNCTION

   1. CONSULT

      1. Select "Back door/trunk lid switch" in "Data Monitor" mode of "BCM(TRUNK)".

      2. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions:

         Monitor item	Condition		Status
         Back door/trunk lid switch	Trunk lid	Open	On
         		Closed	Off

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Trunk room lamp switch is OK.

   NO >>

   Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

1. CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Check voltage between trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector and ground.

         (+)		(–)	Voltage (Approx.)
         Trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch)

         B59	1	Ground	Battery voltage

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 3.

   NO >>

   GO TO 2.

2. CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH CIRCUIT

   1. 1. Disconnect BCM connector and trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) connector.

      2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector.

      3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

         BCM		—	Continuity

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH GROUND CIRCUIT

   1. 1. Disconnect trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) connector.

      2. Check continuity between trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector and ground.

         Trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch)		—	Continuity
         Connector	Terminal
         B59	2	Ground	Yes

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 4.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace harness.

4. CHECK TRUNK ROOM LAMP SWITCH

   1. Refer to Component Inspection.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 5.

   NO >>

   Replace trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch). Refer to Removal and Installation.

5. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

   1. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

   >>

   Inspection End.
