Component Function Check

1. CHECK FUNCTION

   1. CONSULT

      1. Select "Trunk/back door" in "Active Test" mode of "BCM(TRUNK)".

      2. Select “On” to check that it works normally.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES>>

   Trunk lid opener actuator is OK.

   NO>>

   Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

1. CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER INPUT SIGNAL

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) connector.

      3. Check voltage between trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector and ground.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 3.

   NO >>

   GO TO 2.

2. CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER ACTUATOR CIRCUIT

   1. 1. Disconnect BCM connector.

      2. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector.

      3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

         BCM		—	Continuity
         Connector	Terminal
         M21	145	Ground	No

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES>>

   Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

   NO>>

   Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK TRUNK LID OPENER ACTUATOR GROUND CIRCUIT

   1. Check continuity between trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch) harness connector and ground.

      Trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch)		—	Continuity
      Connector	Terminal
      B59	2	Ground	Yes

   Is the inspection normal?

   YES>>

   Replace trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch). Refer to Removal and Installation.

   NO>>

   Repair or replace harness.
