CHECK EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE-1
With CONSULT-
Turn ignition switch ON (engine stopped).
-
Perform “EGR CONTROL VALVE” in “ACTIVE TEST” mode of “ENGINE” using CONSULT.
-
Operate “Up” or “Down”, set “EGR VALVE POSITION” to 0 deg, and check value “V1” of “EGR VALVE POSITION SEN”.
Does “V1” become 0.5±0.1 V?
YES >>GO TO 2.
NO >>Replace EGR volume control valve.

CHECK EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE-2
With CONSULT-
Operate “Up” or “Down”, set “EGR VALVE POSITION” to 70 deg, and check value “V2” of “EGR VALVE POSITION SEN”.
Does “V2” become 3.6±0.25 V?
YES >>GO TO 3.
NO >>Replace EGR volume control valve. Refer to Exploded View.

CHECK EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE-3
-
Turn ignition switch OFF
-
Remove EGR volume control valve.
-
Check the resistance between EGR volume control valve terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 4.
NO >>Replace EGR volume control valve. Refer to Exploded View.

CHECK EGR VOLUME CONTROL VALVE VISUALLY
Check if any foreign objects interferes with EGR volume control valve.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>INSPECTION END
NO >>Repair or replace error-detected parts. Refer to Exploded View.
