Component Function Check
CHECK COOLING FAN FUNCTION
With CONSULT
Turn ignition switch ON.
Perform “FAN DUTY CONTROL” in “ACTIVE TEST” mode with CONSULT.
Change duty ratio using CONSULT.
Check that cooling fan operates.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>INSPECTION END
NO >>Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK COOLING FAN MODULE POWER SUPPLY-1
Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect cooling fan module harness connector.
Turn ignition switch ON.
Check the voltage between cooling fan module harness connector and ground.

YES >>GO TO 2.

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Check the continuity between cooling fan module harness connector and ground.

YES >>GO TO 4.

CHECK COOLING FAN CONTROL SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector.
Check the continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and cooling fan module harness connector.

YES >>GO TO 5.
NO >>Repair or replace error-detected parts.
CHECK COOLING FAN MODULE OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Reconnect all harness connectors disconnected.
Disconnect cooling fan module harness connectors.
Turn ignition switch ON.
Check the voltage between cooling fan module harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 6.
NO >>Replace cooling fan module.
CHECK COOLING FAN MOTOR
Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 9.
NO >>Replace cooling fan motor. Refer to Exploded View.
CHECK FUSE
Disconnect 10 A fuse (No. 73) from fuse and fusible link holder.
Check 10 A fuse for blown.
Is the fuse blown (open)?
YES >>Replace the fuse. [Check the power supply if fuse is blown (open) again.]
NO >>Perform the trouble diagnosis for power supply circuit.
CHECK FUSE
Disconnect 50 A fuse (No. N) from fuse and fusible link holder.
Check 50 A fuse for blown.
Is the fuse blown (open)?
YES >>Replace the fuse. [Check the power supply if fuse is blown (open) again.]
NO >>Perform the trouble diagnosis for power supply circuit.
CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Perform Intermittent Incident.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO >>Repair or replace error-detected parts.

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect cooling fan motor harness connector.
Supply cooling fan motor terminals with battery voltage and check operation.
