NISSAN Intelligent Key

The Nissan Sentra Intelligent Key uses a lithium coin battery. Replace the battery using the procedure below to ensure reliable remote locking, unlocking, and vehicle starting functions.
1. Remove the mechanical key from the Nissan Sentra Intelligent Key.
2. Insert a small flathead screwdriver A into the slit B at the corner of the key case and gently twist to separate the upper and lower halves. Place a soft cloth over the screwdriver to prevent damage to the casing.

3. Replace the battery with a new one.
Recommended battery type: CR2032 or equivalent.
- Do not touch the internal circuit board or electrical terminals, as this may cause malfunction.
- Handle the battery only by its edges. Touching the contact surfaces can significantly reduce battery life.
- Ensure the positive (+) side of the battery faces the bottom of the lower key case.
4. Close the key case securely, ensuring it snaps together properly as illustrated by points C and D.
5. Press the Intelligent Key buttons to confirm proper operation.
If assistance is required during battery replacement, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for professional service.
