Nissan Sentra B18 (2020-2025) Owner's Manual: Lights
Headlights
For detailed information regarding headlight bulb replacement on the Nissan Sentra, carefully follow the instructions provided in this section. Using the correct procedure helps maintain optimal lighting performance and road visibility.

Type A (if so equipped)
Replacing the halogen headlight bulb (if so equipped)
CAUTION
- Headlight aiming is not required after bulb replacement. If headlight alignment adjustment becomes necessary, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for professional service.
- Do not leave the headlight assembly open without a bulb installed for an extended period. Dust, moisture, smoke, or debris entering the housing may reduce bulb performance and service life.
- Remove the old bulb only immediately before installing the replacement bulb.
- Handle the bulb by its base only. Never touch the glass envelope, as skin oils may significantly reduce bulb life and light output.
- Halogen bulbs are pressurized with high-pressure gas. Dropping or scratching the bulb may cause it to shatter.
- Always use a replacement bulb with the correct wattage and specifications listed for the Nissan Sentra.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent electrical short circuits.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlight bulb.
3. Rotate the high beam bulb A counterclockwise and remove it from the headlight housing.
4. Rotate the low beam bulb B counterclockwise and remove it.
Reinstall the bulbs by reversing the removal procedure, ensuring a secure fit.
WARNING
Do not touch the headlight bulb while it is illuminated or immediately after turning it off. Severe burns may occur.
CAUTION
- Avoid touching the glass surface of the bulb with bare hands and prevent oil or grease contamination.
- Leaving the bulb outside the reflector housing for extended periods may allow contaminants to enter and impair lamp performance.
- Temporary fogging inside exterior light lenses during rain or car washing is normal and caused by temperature differences. This does not indicate a malfunction. If excessive water accumulation is observed, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer.
Replacing the LED headlight bulb (if so equipped)
LED headlight systems used on certain Nissan Sentra models are not serviceable by the owner. If replacement is required, it is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for proper diagnosis and repair.

Turn signal bulb replacement follows the same procedure described in the halogen headlight bulb replacement section above.
