Switch operation

WARNING
In freezing temperatures, windshield washer fluid may freeze on the glass surface and temporarily reduce visibility, which could lead to an accident. Always warm the windshield using the defroster before operating the washer system on your Nissan Sentra.
CAUTION
Do not use the windshield washer fluid reservoir itself to mix washer fluid concentrate and water.
NOTE:
If windshield wiper operation is interrupted by snow or ice buildup, the wipers may automatically stop to protect the motor. If this occurs, move the wiper switch to the OFF position and carefully remove any snow or ice from around the wiper arms. After approximately one minute, turn the switch back on to resume normal operation.
The windshield wiper and washer system on the Nissan Sentra operates when the ignition switch is placed in the ON position.
Push the wiper lever downward to operate the windshield wipers at the following speeds:
For example, when vehicle speed increases, the intermittent wiping frequency will increase accordingly.
Push the lever upward to position 4 to activate a single wipe (MIST) operation of the windshield wipers.
Pull the lever toward you to position 5 to operate the windshield washer. When the washer is activated, the windshield wipers will also operate automatically several times.
NOTE:
The Wiper with Speed feature may be disabled depending on vehicle configuration.
