Nissan Sentra B18 (2020-2025) Owner's Manual: Variable voltage control system

CAUTION
- Do not ground electrical accessories directly to the battery terminal. Doing so bypasses the variable voltage control system and may prevent the battery from charging properly.
- Operate electrical accessories with the engine running whenever possible to avoid unnecessary battery discharge.
Your Nissan Sentra is equipped with a variable voltage control system that monitors battery discharge and regulates the voltage generated by the vehicle’s generator accordingly.
The current sensor A is located near the battery along the negative battery cable. When installing additional electrical accessories, always ground them to a proper body ground such as the vehicle frame or engine block.
