Diagnosis Procedure

1. CHECK TRIP RESET SWITCH SIGNAL

   1. 1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Check voltage between the following terminals of the trip reset switch harness connector.

         Trip reset switch			Condition	Voltage (Approx.)
         Connector	Terminals
         	(+)	(−)
         M138	1	2	When trip reset switch is pressed	0 V
         			Other than the above	5 V

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Inspection End.

   NO >>

   GO TO 2.

2. CHECK TRIP RESET SWITCH HARNESS

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect combination meter harness connector and trip reset switch harness connector.

      3. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector and trip reset switch harness connector.

         	32		2

      4. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector and ground.

         Combination meter		—	Continuity
         Connector	Terminal
         M24	10	Ground	No
         	32

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Inspection End.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace harness or connector.

Component Inspection

1. CHECK TRIP RESET SWITCH

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect trip reset switch harness connector.

      3. Check continuity between the following terminals of the trip reset switch:

         Trip reset switch		Condition	Continuity
         Terminals
         1	2	When trip reset switch is pressed	Yes
         		Other than the above	No

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Inspection End.

   NO >>

   Replace trip reset switch. Refer to Removal and Installation.
