POSSIBLE CAUSE

CAN communication system (TCM)

FAIL-SAFE

Rear/front view is black screen (Bird-eye/Side view is displayed).
Rear view is not displayed even if shift lever is in R position.
MOD (Moving Object Detection) function does not operate.

Confirmation Procedure

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
1. CONSULT
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.
  3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.
  4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AVM”.
  5. Check DTC.
Is DTC U2141–87 detected?
YES >>
Proceed to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO >>
To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO >>
Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN
1. CONSULT
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Erase DTC.
  3. Perform DTC confirmation procedure again. Refer to Confirmation Procedure.
Is DTC U2141-87 detected again?
YES >>
Perform the trouble diagnosis for CAN communication system. Refer to Trouble Diagnosis Flow Chart.
NO >>
Inspection End.
