Removal and Installation

CAUTION:

• Do not impact on TCM when removing or installing TCM.

• When replacing TCM, note the “CVTF DETERIORATION DATE” value displayed on CONSULT “CONFORM CVTF DETERIORATION” in MAINTENANCE BOOKLET, before start the operation.

• When replacing TCM and transaxle assembly simultaneously, replace transaxle assembly first and then replace TCM.

• Before replacing TCM, perform “ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING TCM”. Refer to Description.

• Before replacing TCM and transaxle assembly as a set, perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING TCM AND TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY." Refer to Description.

REMOVAL

Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Disconnect.

Remove the front wheel and tire (LH). Refer to Removal and Installation.

Partially remove the fender protector (LH). Refer to Exploded View.

Disconnect harness connectors (A), and release harness retainers.

Remove the TCM upper bracket. Refer to Exploded View.

Disconnect the TCM harness connector.

Remove nuts and remove the TCM.

INSTALLATION

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

ADJUSTMENT AFTER INSTALLATION

Perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN REPLACING TCM". Refer to Description.
