Seat Belt Warning Chime

SYSTEM DIAGRAM

DESCRIPTION

Seat belt warning chime warns the driver that driver seat belt, passenger seat belt, or rear seat belts are not fastened.

WARNING OPERATION CONDITIONS

Front Seat Belts

Combination meter operates seat belt warning chime when all of the following conditions are satisfied:

• Ignition switch ON.

• Nissan Sentra Vehicle speed is approx. 9.3 mph (15 km/h) or more.

• Front seat belt LH is unfastened.

• Front seat belt RH is unfastened and front passenger seat is occupied.

Rear Seat Belts

Combination meter operates seat belt warning chime when all of the following conditions are satisfied:

• Ignition switch ON.

• When any rear seat belt changes from fastened to unfastened.

WARNING CANCEL CONDITIONS

Front Seat Belts

Combination meter cancels seat belt warning chime when any of the following conditions are satisfied:

• Ignition switch OFF.

• Nissan Sentra Vehicle speed is less than 9.3 mph (15 km/h).

• Front seat belt LH is fastened.

• Front seat belt RH is fastened and front passenger seat is unoccupied.

• Approximately 90 seconds after the start of warning sound.

Rear Seat Belts

Combination meter cancels seat belt warning chime when any of the following conditions are satisfied:

• Ignition switch OFF.

• When any rear seat belt changes from unfastened to fastened.

• Approximately 35 seconds has elapsed since the start of warning sound from the most recent unfastened seat belt.
