Nissan Sentra B18 (2020-2025) Owner's Manual: Power outlet

The power outlet in the Nissan Sentra is designed to supply electrical power to compatible accessories such as cellular phones, portable navigation devices, or other small electronic equipment. The outlet is rated at 12 volts with a maximum output of 120W (10A), which is suitable for light-duty automotive accessories.
The power outlet is energized only when the ignition switch of the Nissan Sentra is placed in the ON position, helping to prevent unnecessary battery drain when the vehicle is not in use.
CAUTION
- The power outlet and the connected plug may become hot during use or immediately after use. Avoid touching the metal portions of the plug.
- Do not connect accessories that exceed a power rating of 12 volts and 120W (10A), as doing so may cause damage to the outlet or electrical system.
- Do not use double adapters or connect more than one electrical accessory at the same time.
- Operate electrical accessories with the engine running whenever possible to avoid discharging the vehicle battery.
- Avoid using the power outlet when high electrical loads are present, such as when the air conditioner, headlights, or rear window defroster are operating.
- Before inserting or removing a plug, ensure the connected electrical accessory is switched off.
- Insert the plug fully into the outlet. Poor contact may cause overheating or may activate the internal temperature fuse.
- When the outlet is not in use, close the protective cap to prevent moisture or foreign objects from entering. Do not allow water or other liquids to contact the outlet.
