DTC DETECTION LOGIC

DTC		CONSULT screen terms (Trouble diagnosis content)	DTC detection condition
P2769	00	TORQUE CONVERTER (Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Low)	Diagnosis condition	Power supply voltage ≥ 10 V
			Signal	Torque converter clutch solenoid drive signal
			Threshold	When solenoid drive circuit is diagnosed as short to the ground
			Diagnosis delay time	0.2 seconds

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Harness or connector
Torque converter clutch solenoid
TCM

FAIL-SAFE

Start is slow
Acceleration is slow
Lock-up is not performed
Stop/start system prohibited

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PREPARATION BEFORE WORK

If another "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" occurs just before, ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds, then perform the next test.

TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 10 V.

GO TO 2.

CHECK DTC DETECTION

Start the engine.

Drive the Nissan Sentra vehicle and maintain the following conditions for 10 seconds or more.

Shift position	: "D" position
CVT fluid temperature	: 20 °C (68 °F) or more
Nissan Sentra Vehicle speed	: 40 km/h (25 MPH) or more

CAUTION:

Be careful of the driving speed.

Stop the Nissan Sentra vehicle.
Check the DTC.

Is “P2769-00” detected?

YES >>

Proceed to Diagnosis Procedure.

NO-1>>

To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

NO-2>>

Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

CHECK TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH SOLENOID CIRCUIT

Check torque converter clutch solenoid circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>
Replace TCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO >>
Repair or replace damaged parts.
