Dtc Description

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

POSSIBLE CAUSE

• Harness or connector

• Select solenoid valve

• TCM

FAIL-SAFE

• Selector shock is large

• Stop/start system prohibited

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1. PREPARATION BEFORE WORK

   If another "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" occurs just before, ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds, then perform the next test.

   TESTING CONDITION:

   Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 10 V.

   >>

   GO TO 2.

2. CHECK DTC DETECTION

   1. Start the engine.

   2. Depress the brake pedal.

   3. Shift the selector lever to "R" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.

   4. Shift the selector lever to "N" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.

   5. Shift the selector lever to "D" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.

   6. Shift the selector lever to "L" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.

   7. Shift the selector lever to "P" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.

   8. Check the DTC

   Is "P2814-00" detected?

   YES >>

   Proceed to Diagnosis Procedure.

   NO-1>>

   To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

   NO-2>>

   Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

Diagnosis Procedure

1. CHECK SELECT SOLENOID VALVE CIRCUIT

   Check select solenoid valve circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Replace TCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace damaged parts.
