				Diagnosis delay time	0.3 seconds
			2	Diagnosis condition	Power supply voltage ≥ 10 V
				Signal	Transmission range switch 3 signal
				Threshold	Transmission range switch 3 status is intermediate voltage
				Diagnosis delay time	0.3 seconds

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Harness or connector
Transmission range switch
TCM

FAIL-SAFE

Shift position indicator on combination meter is not displayed
Stop/start system prohibited

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

PREPARATION BEFORE WORK

If another "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" occurs just before, ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds, then perform the next test.

TESTING CONDITION:

Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 10 V.

GO TO 2.
CHECK DTC DETECTION
1. Ignition switch ON.
2. Shift the selector lever to "R" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.
3. Shift the selector lever to "N" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.
4. Shift the selector lever to "D" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.
5. Shift the selector lever to "L" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.
6. Shift the selector lever to "P" position and wait for 5 seconds or more.
7. Check the DTC
Is "P27EF-00" detected?
YES >>
Proceed to Diagnosis Procedure.
NO-1>>
To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO-2>>
Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

CHECK TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH 3 CIRCUIT

Check transmission range switch 3 circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

GO TO 2.
CHECK DTC DETECTION

Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Description.

Is "P27EF-00" detected again?
YES >>
Replace TCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO >>
INSPECTION END
