SYSTEM DIAGRAM

OUTLINE

The interior room lamp battery saver is controlled by the BCM.
The BCM turns applicable lamps OFF depending on the Nissan Sentra vehicle condition. This function prevents battery discharge if the driver neglects, turning OFF any lamps.

Applicable lamps:
- Front room/map lamp assembly
- Rear personal lamp
- Trunk room lamp
- Vanity mirror lamp LH
- Vanity mirror lamp RH

Signal transmission function list

Signal name	Input	Output	Description
Door switch signal	Door switch (ALL)	BCM	Transmits the door switch signal to the BCM.
Ajar switch signal	Trunk lid opener assembly (ajar switch)	BCM	Transmits the ajar switch signal to the BCM.
Door lock/unlock switch signal	Main power window and door lock/unlock switch Power window and door lock/unlock switch RH	BCM	Transmits the door lock/unlock switch signal to the BCM.
Door unlock sensor signal	Front door lock assembly LH (door unlock sensor)	BCM	Transmits the door unlock sensor signal to the BCM.
Push-button ignition switch status signal	Intelligent Key unit	BCM (CAN)	Transmits the push-button ignition switch status signal via CAN communication.

Push-button ignition switch signal	Push-button ignition switch	Intelligent Key unit	Transmits the push-button ignition switch signal to the Intelligent Key unit.

INTERIOR ROOM LAMP BATTERY SAVER FUNCTION

The BCM turns the room lamp relay ON and keeps the interior room lamp power supply ON continuously when the ignition switch is ON.
When the ignition switch is OFF, the BCM operates the timer for 10 minutes and then turns the room lamp relay OFF to cut the interior room lamp power supply.
Note:
When the ignition switch is OFF and all doors are locked, the BCM operates the timer for 20 seconds and then turns the room lamp relay OFF to cut the interior room lamp power supply.
The BCM restarts the timer when any of the following signal changes occur while operating the timer:
- Ignition switch status
- Door switch signal
- Ajar switch signal
- Door lock and unlock switch signal
- Door unlock status signal
- Door lock/unlock request signal
