CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) OPERATION
CONSULT
Select “HEADLAMP (HI)” in “Active Test” mode of “IPDM E/R”.
Turn lighting switch 2ND.
With operating the test item, check that the headlamp (HI) is turned ON.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES>>Headlamp (HI) circuit is normal.
NO>>Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) OUTPUT VOLTAGE
CONSULT
Ignition switch ON.
Turn lighting switch 2ND.
Select “HEADLAMP (HI)” in “Active Test” mode of “IPDM E/R”.
With operating the test item, check voltage between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.

YES >>GO TO 2.
NO >>GO TO 3.
CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT (OPEN)
Ignition switch OFF.
Turn lighting switch OFF.
Disconnect IPDM E/R connector and front combination lamp connector.
Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and front combination lamp harness connector.

NO>>Repair or replace harness.
CHECK HEADLAMP (HI) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT (SHORT TO GROUND)
Ignition switch OFF.
Turn lighting switch OFF.
Disconnect IPDM E/R connector, front combination lamp RH connector and front combination lamp LH connector.
Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground.

YES >>Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO >>Repair or replace harness.
