1. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL SYSTEM

   1. Check operate heated steering wheel system. Refer to System Description.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Inspection End.

   NO >>

   Go to Diagnosis Procedure.

Diagnosis Procedure

1. CHECK FUSES

   1. Check that the following fuses are not blown:

      Signal name	Fuse No.	Capacity
      Ignition power supply	6	10 A
      	44	10 A

   Is the fuse blown?

   YES >>

   Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit.

   NO >>

   GO TO 2.

2. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL RELAY POWER SUPPLY

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect heated steering wheel relay harness connector.

      3. Ignition switch ON.

      4. Check voltage between heated steering wheel relay harness connector and ground.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 3.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace harness or connector.

3. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL RELAY

   1. Check heated steering wheel relay. Refer to Component Inspection.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 4.

   NO >>

   Replace heated steering wheel relay. Refer to Component Parts Location.

4. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN HEATED STEERING WHEEL RELAY AND A/C AUTO AMP.

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect the heated steering wheel relay harness connector and A/C auto amp. harness connector.

      3. Check continuity between heated steering wheel relay harness connector and A/C auto amp. harness connector.

      4. Check continuity between heated steering wheel relay harness connector and ground.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 5.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace harness or connector.

5. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN HEATED STEERING WHEEL RELAY AND COMBINATION SWITCH (SPIRAL CABLE)

   1. 1. Disconnect the combination switch (spiral cable) harness connector.

      2. Check continuity between heated steering wheel relay harness connector and combination switch (spiral cable) harness connector.

      3. Check continuity between heated steering wheel relay harness connector and ground.

   YES >>

   GO TO 6.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace harness or connector.

6. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT

   1. Check continuity between combination switch (spiral cable) harness connector and ground.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 7.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace damaged parts.

7. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL

   1. Check heated steering wheel. Refer to Component Inspection.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 8.

   NO >>

   Replace heated steering wheel. Refer to Removal and Installation.

8. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN HEATED STEERING WHEEL AND COMBINATION SWITCH (SPIRAL CABLE)

   1. 1. Disconnect the heated steering wheel harness connector.

      2. Check continuity between heated steering wheel harness connector and combination switch (spiral cable) harness connector.

      3. Check continuity between heated steering wheel harness connector and ground.

   YES >>

   Check the intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace damaged parts.

1. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL CONTINUITY

   1. Check continuity between heated steering wheel connector terminals.

      43 − 44	Leather surface temperature of 68°F (20°C) or less	Yes
      	Leather surface temperature of 86°F (30°C) or more	No

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 2.

   NO >>

   Replace heated steering wheel. Refer to Removal and Installation.

2. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL RESISTANCE

   1. Check resistance between heated steering wheel connector terminals.

      43 − 44	Leather surface temperature of 68°F (20°C)	1.7 – 2.17 Ω

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Inspection End.

   NO >>

   Replace heated steering wheel. Refer to Removal and Installation.
