CHECK DRIVE SPORT MODE FUNCTION-1
-
Ignition switch ON.
-
Shift the selector lever to “D” position.
-
Check the drive sport mode indicator turns ON/OFF when drive sport mode switch is operated.
Is the inspection results normal?
YES >>INSPECTION END
NO >>GO TO 2.

Start the engine.
-
Drive the Nissan Sentra vehicle.
-
Maintain the following conditions.
Selector lever
: “D” POSITION
Nissan Sentra Vehicle speed
: Constant vehicle speed of 30 km/h (19 MPH) or more on the flat road.

Check the engine speed when drive sport mode switch is operated.
Is the engine speed changed?
YES >>Check drive sport mode indicator. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
NO >>Check drive sport mode switch. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

CHECK DTC (TCM)
With CONSULT-
Ignition switch ON.
-
Check “Self Diagnostic Results” and "Network-DTC" in “TRANSMISSION”.
Is any DTC detected?
YES >>Check DTC detected item. Refer to DTC Index.
NO >>GO TO 2.

CHECK DTC (COMBINATION METER)
With CONSULTCheck “Self Diagnostic Results” and "Network-DTC" in “METER/M&A”.
Is any DTC detected?
YES >>Check DTC detected item. Refer to DTC Index (TYPE A) or DTC Index (TYPE B). For details of TYPE, refer to Information.
NO >>GO TO 3.

CHECK TCM INPUT/OUTPUT SIGNAL
With CONSULT-
Select “Data Monitor” in “TRANSMISSION”.

Select “Ds mode signal”.
-
Check that “Ds mode signal” turns ON/OFF when drive sport mode switch is operated. Refer to Reference Value.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Installation (TYPE A) or Removal and Installation (TYPE B). For details of TYPE, refer to Information.
NO >>Check drive sport mode switch. Refer to Component Function Check.
