Transmits the engine status signal to the BCM via CAN communication.

IPDM E/R (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room)

Supplies voltage to the loads according to the request from the BCM via CAN communication.

18.

BCM (Body Control Module)

  • Detects each switch condition by the combination switch reading function.

  • Judges that the exterior lamps are turned ON according to Nissan Sentra vehicle condition.

  • Requests Smart FET ON to the IPDM E/R via CAN communication.

  • Requests the following indicator lamps and warnings (information display/buzzer) ON to the combination meter via CAN communication:

    • High beam indicator lamp

    • High beam assist indicator lamp

    • Position light indicator lamp

    • Light reminder warning (information display/buzzer)

  • Judges outside brightness from the optical sensor signal.

  • Judges the ON/OFF timing of the exterior lamps according to Nissan Sentra vehicle condition.

  • Judges the ON/OFF status of the exterior lamps according to outside brightness and Nissan Sentra vehicle condition.

  • Blinks the turn signal lamp and hazard warning lamp according to each switch condition.

  • Requests the turn signal indicator lamp blink to the combination meter via CAN communication.

  • Requests the turn signal operating sound ON to the combination meter via CAN communication.

Air bag diagnosis sensor unit

Transmits car crash information signal to the BCM via CAN communication.

Door mirror LH

Combination meter

  • Turns the following indicator lamps and warnings (information display/buzzer) ON according to the request from the BCM via CAN communication:

    • High beam indicator lamp

    • High beam assist indicator lamp

    • Position light indicator lamp

    • Light reminder warning (information display/buzzer)

  • Blinks the turn signal indicator lamp and outputs the turn signal operating sound with its integrated buzzer according to the request from the BCM via CAN communication.

  • Combination meter transmits the parking brake switch signal to the BCM via CAN communication.

Optical sensor

Combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch)

Transmits the status of the combination switch (lighting and turn signal switch) to the BCM.

Hazard switch

30.

Push-button ignition switch

  • Push-button ignition switch has push switch inside which detects that push-button ignition switch is placed ON/OFF, and transmits the ON/OFF signal to the Intelligent Key unit.

  • The Intelligent Key unit transmits the push-button ignition switch signal to the BCM via CAN communication.

  • The BCM changes the ignition status with the operation of the push-button ignition switch.

  • The BCM maintains the ignition status while the push-button ignition switch is not operated.

31.

Park/neutral position (PNP) switch (reverse switch) (with M/T)

Detects that the shift selector is in the "R" position and turns the back-up lamps ON/OFF.

LED headlamp control module

Stop lamp switch
