DTC Description

DTC DETECTION LOGIC

DTC No.	CONSULT screen terms (Trouble diagnosis content)	DTC detection condition
C1630-87	CAN COMM CIRCUIT (Control module communication bus "A" Off)	Diagnosis condition	When ignition switch is ON.
		Signal (terminal)	CAN communication signal
		Threshold	When a malfunction is detected in CAN communication signal.
		Diagnosis delay time	2 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

CAN communication

FAIL-SAFE

Normal control

Confirmation Procedure

PRECONDITIONING
1. If “Confirmation Procedure” has been previously conducted, always place the ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds before conducting the next test.

GO TO 2.
DTC REPRODUCTION PROCEDURE
1. CONSULT
  1. Ignition switch ON.
  2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “EPS/DAST 3”.
Is DTC “C1630-87” detected?
YES >>
Proceed to diagnosis procedure. Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.
NO >>
To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.
NO >>
Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.
