DTC Confirmation Procedure

1. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

   1. CONSULT

      1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Turn heated steering wheel ON.

      3. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “HVAC”.

   Is B24F4–14 detected?

   YES >>

   Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

   NO >>

   To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

   NO >>

   Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

1. CHECK FUSE

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Check that any of the following fuse is not blown (open):

         Signal name	Fuse No.	Capacity
         Ignition ON power supply	6	10 A

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 2.

   NO >>

   Replace the blown fuse after repairing the affected circuit.

2. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL RELAY POWER SUPPLY

   1. 1. Disconnect heated steering wheel relay connector.

      2. Ignition switch ON.

      3. Check voltage between heated steering wheel relay harness connector and ground.

         (+)		(-)	Voltage (Approx.)
         Heated steering wheel relay
         Connector	Terminal
         M75	1	Ground	Battery voltage

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES>>

   GO TO 3.

   NO>>

   Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL RELAY

   1. Check heated steering wheel relay.

      Refer to Component Inspection.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 4.

   NO >>

   Replace heated steering wheel relay.

4. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL RELAY CONTROL SIGNAL

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Connect heated steering wheel relay connector.

      3. Ignition switch ON.

      4. Check voltage between A/C auto amp. harness connector and ground.

         (+)		(–)	Condition		Voltage (Approx.)
         A/C auto amp.
         Connector	Terminal
         M34	56	Ground	Heated steering wheel relay	OFF	Battery voltage
         				ON	0 - 0.5 V

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   Replace A/C auto amp. Refer to Removal and Installation.

   NO >>

   GO TO 5.

5. CHECK HEATED STEERING WHEEL RELAY CONTROL SIGNAL CIRCUIT

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect A/C auto amp. connector and heated steering wheel relay connector.

      3. Check continuity between A/C auto amp. harness connector and heated steering wheel relay harness connector.

         A/C auto amp.		Heated steering wheel relay		Continuity
         Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
         M34	56	M75	2	Yes

      4. Check continuity between A/C auto amp. harness connector and ground.

         A/C auto amp.		–	Continuity
         Connector	Terminal
         M34	56	Ground	No

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 6.

   NO >>

   Repair or replace harness.

6. CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT

   1. Check intermittent incident.

      Refer to Intermittent Incident.

   >>

   Inspection End.
