CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH 1

Ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect stop lamp switch connector.

Check continuity between stop lamp switch terminals.

Stop lamp switch		Condition		Continuity
Terminals		Condition		Continuity
1	2	Brake pedal	Depressed	Yes
1	2	Brake pedal	Fully released	No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES>>

Inspection End.

NO>>

GO TO 2.

CHECK STOP LAMP SWITCH 2

Adjust stop lamp switch installation. Refer to Adjustment.

Check continuity between stop lamp switch terminals.

1	2	Brake pedal	Depressed	Yes
1	2	Brake pedal	Fully released	No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES >>

Inspection End.

NO >>

Replace stop lamp switch. Refer to Removal and Installation.
