Selector Lever Knob: Removal & Installation

SELECTOR LEVER KNOB: Removal & Installation

REMOVAL

Slide the shift selector finisher boot (3) down.

Using a suitable tool, remove the lock pin (2) by pulling it toward the front of Nissan Sentra vehicle. Note:

  • The lock pin will be reused during installation, do not damage or lose the lock pin.

  • If the lock pin is lost or damaged, replace it with a new part.

Pull the selector lever knob (1) upward to remove.

INSTALLATION

Install the lock pin (2) into the front of the slot (3), until it is fully seated and clicks into place.

Note:
  • Do not place the lock pin in any area other than the lock pin slot.

  • Do not install the lock pin from the rear of the selector lever knob, the lock pin must be installed from the front side of the selector lever knob.

  • Confirm the lock pin is installed and seated properly in the slot, before installing the selector lever knob.

Install the selector lever knob (1) onto the CVT shift selector shaft and push down until it clicks into place.

Pull up on the selector lever knob to confirm it is seated properly and it does not come off.Note:

  • If the selector lever knob does come off, reinstall the lock pin according to the instructions and perform the selector lever knob installation again.

Slide the shift selector finisher boot up until it clicks into place.
