  1. CHECK MOONROOF MOTOR FUNCTION

    1. Check whether tilt up/down and slide open/close functions operate with moonroof switch normally.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    Moonroof motor assembly is OK.

    NO >>

    Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

  1. CHECK FUSE

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Check that any of the following fuses are not blown (open):

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    GO TO 2.

    NO >>

    Repair the applicable circuit and then replace the fuse.

  2. CHECK MOONROOF MOTOR ASSEMBLY POWER SUPPLY 1

      1. Disconnect moonroof motor assembly connector.

      2. Ignition switch ON.

      3. Check voltage between moonroof motor assembly harness connector and ground.

  1. CHECK MOONROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY INPUT SIGNAL

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect moonroof switch assembly connector.

      3. Ignition switch ON.

      4. Check voltage between moonroof switch assembly harness connector and ground.

  2. CHECK MOONROOF SWITCH ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect moonroof motor assembly connector.

      3. Check continuity between moonroof motor assembly harness connector and moonroof switch assembly harness connector.

    YES >>

    Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

    NO >>

    Replace moonroof switch assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect moonroof switch assembly connector.

      3. Check continuity between moonroof switch assembly terminals.

  1. CHECK MOONROOF FUNCTION

      1. Start engine.

      2. Drive the Nissan Sentra vehicle at more than 25 MPH (40 km/h).

        CAUTION:

        Always drive vehicle at a safe speed.

        Note:

        This procedure may be conducted with the drive wheels lifted in the shop or by driving the Nissan Sentra vehicle. If a road test is expected to be easier, it is unnecessary to lift the vehicle.

      3. Check moonroof tilt up/down and open/close operations with moonroof switch.

    Is the operation normal?

    YES >>

    Inspection End.

    NO >>

    Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

  1. CHECK DTC WITH COMBINATION METER

    1. Check that DTC is not detected with combination meter.

      Refer to DTC Index (with Type A meter) or DTC Index (with Type B meter).

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    GO TO 2.

    NO >>

    Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

  2. CHECK Nissan Sentra Vehicle SPEED SIGNAL CIRCUIT

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect moonroof motor assembly connector and combination meter connector.

      3. Check continuity between moonroof motor assembly harness connector and combination meter harness connector.
