Speedometer and odometer
The Nissan Sentra is equipped with a clearly visible speedometer and odometer for precise driving information. The speedometer is positioned on the right side of the meter cluster, allowing the driver to quickly check vehicle speed.
The odometer is integrated into the vehicle information display and provides accurate tracking of total mileage.

Speedometer
The speedometer continuously indicates the current speed of the Nissan Sentra while driving.

4.2 inch (11 cm) Type A (if so equipped)
Odometer/Twin trip odometer
The odometer 2 and the twin trip odometer 1 are shown when the ignition switch is placed in the ON position.
The odometer records the total distance the Nissan Sentra has been driven over its lifetime.
The twin trip odometer allows the driver to track the distance of individual trips, which is useful for fuel economy monitoring or trip planning.

7 inch (18 cm) Type B (if so equipped)
Changing the display
Press the TRIP/RESET switch, located on the instrument panel, to cycle through the available displays in the following order:
TRIP A → TRIP B → ODO → TRIP A
Resetting the trip odometer
To reset the currently displayed trip odometer to zero, press and hold the OK button on the steering wheel for more than one second.
Tachometer

4.2 inch (11 cm) Type A (if so equipped)
The tachometer shows engine speed in revolutions per minute (rpm), helping the driver maintain efficient and safe engine operation.

7 inch (18 cm) Type B (if so equipped)
Avoid operating the engine in the red zone 1, as this indicates excessively high engine speed.
CAUTION
When engine speed approaches the red zone, shift to a higher gear or reduce engine speed. Prolonged operation in the red zone may result in serious engine damage to your Nissan Sentra.
Engine coolant temperature gauge

NOTE:
The ignition switch must be in the ON position for the gauge to display a reading.
The gauge shows the engine coolant temperature. Normal operating temperature is indicated when the needle is within zone A shown in the illustration.
The engine coolant temperature may vary depending on outside air temperature, driving conditions, and engine load.
CAUTION
If the gauge approaches the hot (H) end of the normal range, reduce vehicle speed to help lower the temperature. If the gauge exceeds the normal range, stop the Nissan Sentra as soon as it is safe to do so. Continued driving with an overheated engine may cause severe engine damage.
Fuel gauge

NOTE:
The ignition switch must be placed in the ON position for the fuel gauge to provide a reading.
The fuel gauge indicates the approximate amount of fuel remaining in the tank.
The gauge reading may fluctuate slightly during braking, acceleration, turning, or when driving on slopes.
The low fuel warning light illuminates when the fuel level becomes low.
Refill the fuel tank before the gauge reaches 0 (Empty).
The arrow on the fuel pump symbol indicates the location of the fuel filler door.
CAUTION
Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) may illuminate. Refuel the Nissan Sentra as
soon as possible.
After several driving trips, the
light should turn off. If it remains illuminated, have the vehicle inspected.
It is recommended that you visit a NISSAN dealer for this service.Distance To Empty (DTE)
This display shows the estimated distance the Nissan Sentra can travel before refueling is required. The value is calculated using recent fuel consumption data, current fuel level, and actual driving conditions.
Changes in driving habits or operating conditions can cause the Distance To Empty (DTE) value on the Nissan Sentra to fluctuate. Because this calculation is dynamic, the displayed estimate may differ from the actual distance that can be driven before refueling.
The DTE display will change to "---" when the fuel level in the tank becomes low, even before the fuel gauge reaches 0 (Empty). This behavior is normal and helps alert the driver to refuel the Nissan Sentra in a timely manner.
