In this setting, the lights will turn off when the ignition switch is placed in the ON position, or when the driver’s door is closed and locked.
NOTE:
The step lights (if so equipped) on the Nissan Sentra illuminate whenever the driver or front passenger doors are opened, regardless of the interior light switch position. These lights will automatically turn off after a period of time while the doors remain open to help prevent battery discharge.
CAUTION
Do not leave the interior lights on for extended periods while the engine is stopped. Doing so may result in a discharged vehicle battery.
Map lights

To turn the front map lights on, press the corresponding switches. Press the switches again to turn the lights off. These lights provide focused illumination for the driver and front passenger.
CAUTION
Avoid using the map lights for long periods when the engine is not running, as this can lead to battery discharge.
Personal lights

To turn the rear personal lights on, press the switch once. Press the switch again to turn the light off. These lights are designed to provide individual illumination for rear-seat passengers in the Nissan Sentra.
CAUTION
Do not operate the personal lights for extended periods with the engine stopped, as this may discharge the battery.
Trunk light
The trunk light illuminates automatically when the trunk lid of the Nissan Sentra is opened, providing visibility when loading or unloading items.
When the trunk lid is closed, the trunk light turns off. If the trunk lid is left open, the light will automatically switch off after a period of time unless the ignition switch is placed in the ON position, helping to prevent unnecessary battery drain.
