Diagnosis Procedure

The ICC MAIN switch can be turned ON/OFF, but the ICC system cannot be set even if the SET- switch is pressed.

Note:

The system cannot be set in the following case.

  • When own Nissan Sentra vehicle is travelling below the speed of 30 km/h (20 MPH).

  • When the parking brake is applied.

  • When the VDC system is turned off.

  • When the VDC (including the TCS) operates.

  • When distance measurement becomes impaired due to adhesion of dirt or obstruction to the distance sensor.

  • When a wheel slips.

  • When the distance sensor signal is temporarily interrupted.

  • When the clutch pedal is depressed for approximately 8 seconds.

  1. CHECK CAUSE OF AUTOMATIC CANCELLATION

    Check if there is the cancellation cause in the “CAUSE OF AUTO-CANCEL” on “WORK SUPPORT” of “ICC/ADAS 2” with CONSULT.

    Is it displayed?

    Not displayed >>

    GO TO 2.

    “VHCL SPD UNMATCH”>>

    Refer to DTC Description.

    “IGN LOW VOLT”>>

    Refer to DTC Description.

    “ECM CIRCUIT”>>

    Refer to DTC Description.

    “CAN COMM ERROR”>>

    Refer to DTC Index.

    “ICC SENSOR CAN COMM ERR”>>

    Refer to DTC Index.

    “ABS/TCS/VDC CIRC”>>

    Refer to DTC Description.

    “ECD CIRCUIT”>>

    Refer to DTC Description.

  2. PERFORM THE SELF-DIAGNOSIS

    1. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

    2. Check if any DTC is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ICC/ADAS 2”, “LASER/RADAR” or “LANE CAMERA”.

      • LASER/RADAR: Refer to DTC Index.

      • ICC/ADAS 2: Refer to DTC Index.

      • LANE CAMERA: Refer to DTC Index.

    Is any DTC detected?

    YES >>

    GO TO 3.

    NO >>

    GO TO 4.

  3. REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts identified by the self-diagnosis result.

    GO TO 6.

  4. CHECK EACH SWITCH AND Nissan Sentra Vehicle SPEED SIGNAL

    1. Start the engine.

    2. Check that the following items operate normally in “DATA MONITOR” of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

      • “VHCL SPEED SE”

      • “D RANGE SW”

      • “SET/COAST SW”

      • “BRAKE SW”

      • “PKB SW”

    Is there a malfunctioning item?

    All items are normal>>

    GO TO 5.

    “VHCL SPEED SE”>>

    Refer to DTC Description.

    “SET/COAST SW”>>

    Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

    “BRAKE SW”>>

    Refer to DTC Description.

  5. REPLACE ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2

    Replace the ADAS control unit 2. Refer to Removal and Installation.

    GO TO 6.

  6. CHECK ICC SYSTEM

    1. Erase the self-diagnosis results, and then perform “All DTC Reading” again after performing the action test. Refer to Work Procedure.

    2. Check that the ICC system is normal.
