DTC Diagnosis Procedure

  1. DETERMINE MALFUNCTION TYPE

    1. CONSULT

      1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR”.

      3. Check DTC.

    Is DTC B2723–60, 61, 62, 63, 65, 66, 67, 68, 83 or 92 detected?

    YES >>

    66 – GO TO 2.

    YES >>

    60, 61, 62, 63, 65, 67, 68, 83 or 92 – GO TO 5.

    NO >>

    Refer to Intermittent Incident.

  2. CHECK REAR SONAR SENSOR RH OUTER SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect sonar control unit and rear sonar sensor RH outer connectors.

      3. Check continuity between sonar control unit connector and rear sonar sensor RH outer connector.

      4. Check continuity between sonar control unit connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    GO TO 3.

    NO >>

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  3. CHECK REAR SONAR SENSOR RH OUTER GROUND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Check continuity between sonar control unit connector and rear sonar sensor RH outer connector.

        Yes

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    GO TO 4.

    NO >>

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  4. CHECK REAR SONAR SENSOR RH OUTER SIGNAL

      1. Connect sonar control unit and rear sonar sensor RH outer connectors.

      2. Ignition switch ON.

      3. Check signal between the terminals of sonar control unit connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    Replace sonar control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation.

    NO >>

    Replace rear sonar sensor RH outer. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  5. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN

    1. CONSULT

      1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Erase DTC.

      3. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “SONAR”.

      4. Check DTC.

    Is DTC B2723–60, 61, 62, 63, 65, 67, 68, 83, or 92 detected?

    YES >>

    Replace rear sonar sensor RH outer. Refer to Removal and Installation.

    NO >>

    Inspection End.
