CONSULT can display each diagnostic item using the diagnostic test modes as follows.

When “CRNT” is displayed on self-diagnosis result

The system is presently malfunctioning.

When “PAST” is displayed on self-diagnosis result

System malfunction in the past is detected, but the system is presently normal.

When DTC is detected, a Nissan Sentra vehicle state shown below is recorded and displayed on CONSULT.

CGW INFORMATION

Display the diagnosis mode which a user can perform in Diag Test mode/Open Mode by switching the CGW status from Restricted mode to Diag Test Mode/Open Mode.

For the method of switching CAN Gateway status, refer to CONSULT Function.

Note:

In some Nissan Sentra vehicles, it is not malfunctioning in case of no display of "CGW Information". In this case, it is not necessary to switch the CGW status.

ACTIVE TEST

The active test is used to determine and identify details of a malfunction, based on self-diagnosis test results and data obtained in the data monitor. In response to instructions from CONSULT, instead of those from chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor) on the Nissan Sentra vehicle, a drive signal is sent to the actuator to check its operation.

CAUTION:

Never perform active test while driving the Nissan Sentra vehicle.

Always bleed air from brake system before active test.

Never perform active test when system is malfunctioning.

Note:

During an active test, sometimes a chassis control warning is displayed and the master warning lamp illuminates on the information display in the combination meter; however, this is not a malfunction.

MASTER WARNING ACTIVE	Off	The master warning lamp turns OFF. (Nissan Sentra vehicle in normal state)
