Diagnosis Procedure

The warning chime may not sound in some cases when there is a short distance between vehicles. Some examples are:

• When the Nissan Sentra vehicles are traveling at the same speed and the distance between vehicles is not changing.

• When the Nissan Sentra vehicle ahead is traveling faster and the distance between vehicles is increasing.

• When a Nissan Sentra vehicle cuts in near own vehicle.

• The warning chime will not sound when own vehicle approaches Nissan Sentra vehicles that are parked or moving slowly.

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST

   Check if the warning chime sounds on the following active test item with CONSULT.

   • ICC/ADAS 2: “ADAS buzzer 2”

   Does the warning chime sound?

   YES >>

   GO TO 2.

   NO >>

   GO TO 3.

2. CHECK THE MALFUNCTION SYMPTOM DURING WARNING CHIME OPERATION

   Understand the Nissan Sentra vehicle ahead detection condition when the malfunction occurred. If the warning chime should have sounded, replace the ADAS control unit 2. Refer to Removal and Installation.

   >>

   GO TO 9.

3. PERFORM THE SELF-DIAGNOSIS

   1. Perform “All DTC Reading” with CONSULT.

   2. Check if the Network-DTC is detected in self-diagnosis results of “ICC/ADAS 2”.

   Is Network-DTC detected?

   YES >>

   GO TO 4.

   NO >>

   GO TO 5.

4. CAN COMMUNICATIONS INSPECTION

   Check the CAN communication and repair or replace malfunctioning parts. Refer to DTC Index.

   >>

   GO TO 8.

5. CHECK DRIVER ASSISTANCE BUZZER CIRCUIT

   Check driver assistance buzzer. Refer to Component Function Check.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES >>

   GO TO 7.

   NO >>

   GO TO 6.

6. REPAIR OR REPLACE MALFUNCTIONING PARTS

   Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

   >>

   GO TO 8.

7. REPLACE ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2

   Replace the ADAS control unit 2. Refer to DTC Index.

   >>

   GO TO 8.

8. Check each system

   1. Erase “self-diagnosis result”, and then perform “All DTC Reading” again after performing the action test.

      • LDW: Refer to Work Procedure.

      • TSR: Refer to Work Procedure.

      • BSW: Refer to Work Procedure.

      • RCTA: Refer to Work Procedure.

   2. Check if the each system is normal.
