When installing a CB radio, ham radio, or car phone in the Nissan Sentra, always observe the precautions listed below. Improper installation may negatively affect the engine control system and other electronic components of the vehicle.

WARNING

• A cellular phone should not be used for any purpose while driving so that full attention can be given to operating the Nissan Sentra.

  Some jurisdictions prohibit the use of cellular phones while driving.

• If a call must be made while the vehicle is in motion, the hands-free phone system (if so equipped) is strongly recommended.

  Always exercise extreme caution and maintain full awareness of driving conditions.

• If full attention cannot be devoted to driving while on a call, pull over to a safe location and stop the vehicle before continuing the conversation.

CAUTION

• Position the antenna as far away as possible from electronic control modules.
• Keep the antenna wire at least 8 in (20 cm) away from electronic control system harnesses and avoid routing it alongside any wiring harness.
• Adjust the antenna standing-wave ratio according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Properly connect the CB radio ground wire to the vehicle body.
• For additional guidance, it is recommended that installation and servicing be performed by an authorized NISSAN dealer.
