CVT CIRCUIT

(Continuously variable transaxle/transmission circuit)

Diagnosis condition

  • When AEB system is ON

  • When driving the Nissan Sentra vehicle at 10 km/h (6 MPH) or faster for approximately 15 minutes or more.

Signal (terminal)

CAN communication signal

Threshold

A mismatch between an current gear position signal transmitted from TCM via CAN communication and a gear position calculated by the ADAS control unit 2 continues

Diagnosis delay time

Approximately 11 minutes or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

FAIL-SAFE

The following systems are canceled.

Confirmation Procedure

Confirmation Procedure
  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY

    If DTC “C1F41–62” is displayed with Network-DTC or “C1F48–62”, or “C1F48–29” first diagnose the Network-DTC or “C1F48–62”, or “C1F48–29”

    Is applicable DTC detected?

    YES >>

    Perform diagnosis of applicable.

    • Network-DTC: DTC Index

    • C1F48–62: DTC Description

    • C1F48–29: DTC Description

    NO >>

    GO TO 2 .

  2. CHECK TCM SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

    Check if any DTC is detected in "Self Diagnostic Result" of "TCM"

    Is any DTC detected?

    YES >>

    Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. DTC Index

    NO >>

    GO TO 3 .

  3. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

    1. Start the engine.

    2. Turn the AEB system ON.

    3. Drive the Nissan Sentra vehicle at 10 km/h (6 MPH) or faster for approximately 15 minutes or more.

      Note:

      All 15 minutes should be driven by D range. If the driver changes to another shift position in-between, 15 minute will be reset.

      CAUTION:

      Always drive safely.

    4. Stop the Nissan Sentra vehicle.

    Is “C1F41–62” detected as the current malfunction?

    YES >>

    DTC Diagnosis Procedure

    NO-1 >>

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Intermittent Incident

    NO-2 >>

    Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY

    If DTC “C1F41–62” is displayed with Network-DTC, “C1F48–62”, or “C1F48–29” first diagnose the Network-DTC, “C1F48–62”, or “C1F48–29”

    Is applicable DTC detected?

    YES >>

    Perform diagnosis of applicable.

    • Network-DTC: DTC Index

    • C1F48–62: DTC Description

    • C1F48–29: DTC Description

    NO >>

    GO TO 2 .

  2. CHECK TCM SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

    1. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

    2. Check if any DTC is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “TRANSMISSION”.

    Is any DTC detected?

    YES >>

    Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. DTC Index

    NO >>

    GO TO 3 .

  3. CHECK ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT) SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS

    1. Perform “All DTC Reading”.

    2. Check if any DTC is detected in “Self Diagnostic Result” of “ABS”.

    Is any DTC detected?

    YES >>

    Perform diagnosis on the detected DTC and repair or replace the malfunctioning parts. DTC Index

    NO >>
