DTC DETECTION LOGIC

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Neutral position adjustment of steering angle sensor is not complete

FAIL-SAFE

Predictive course line is not displayed

Confirmation Procedure

Confirmation Procedure

1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY

   1. If DTC C1A39–00 is displayed with DTC U1232–00, first perform the diagnosis for DTC U1232–00.

   Is DTC U1232–00 detected?

   YES>>

   Proceed to DTC Description.

   NO>>

   GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

   1. CONSULT

      1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

      3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

      4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AVM”.

      5. Check DTC.

   Is DTC C1A39–00 detected?

   YES>>

   Proceed to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

   NO>>

   To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

   NO>>

   Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

Dtc Diagnosis Procedure

DTC Diagnosis Procedure

1. ADJUST THE NEUTRAL POSITION OF THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

   1. When C1A39–00 is detected, adjust the neutral position of the steering angle sensor.

      Adjusts the steering angle sensor neutral position on ABS actuator and electrical unit (control unit) side. Refer to Work Procedure.

   >>

   GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

   1. CONSULT

      1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Erase DTC.

      3. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “AVM”.

      4. Check DTC.

   Is DTC C1A39–00 detected?

   YES>>

   Replace steering angle sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation.

   NO>>

   Inspection End.
