Diagnosis condition

When ignition switch is ON.

Signal (terminal)

Nissan Sentra Vehicle speed display signal

Threshold

An abnormal Nissan Sentra vehicle speed signal is input from ECM

Diagnosis delay time

2 seconds or more

POSSIBLE CAUSE

FAIL-SAFE

Reset to zero of the speedometer by suspending communication.

Confirmation Procedure
  1. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

    1. CONSULT

      1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “METER/M&A”.

    Is DTC B2205-29 detected?

    YES >>

    Refer to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

    NO >>

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

    NO >>

    Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

  1. PERFORM SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT OF ECM

    1. CONSULT

      Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “ENGINE”.

    Is DTC detected?

    YES >>

    Perform diagnosis procedure on the detected DTC. Refer to DTC Index.

    NO >>

    GO TO 2.

  2. PERFORM SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT OF ABS ACTUATOR AND ELECTRIC UNIT (CONTROL UNIT)

    1. CONSULT

      Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “ABS”.

    Is DTC detected?

    YES >>

    Perform diagnosis procedure on the detected DTC. Refer to DTC Index.

    NO >>

    Inspection End.
