  • AV control unit

FAIL-SAFE

Rear view camera is inoperative.

Confirmation Procedure

Confirmation Procedure

  1. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

    1. CONSULT

      1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.

      3. Ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.

      4. Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “MULTI AV”.

      5. Check DTC.

    Is DTC B1339–8F detected?

    YES>>

    Proceed to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

    NO>>

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

    NO>>

    Confirmation after repair: Inspection End.

  1. CHECK CAMERA IMAGE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN

      1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect AV control unit connector and rear view camera connector.

      3. Check the continuity between AV control unit connector and rear view camera connector.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    GO TO 2.

    NO >>

    Repair harness or connector.

  2. CHECK CAMERA IMAGE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT

    1. Check the continuity between AV control unit connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    GO TO 3.

    NO >>

    Repair harness or connector.

  3. CHECK CAMERA IMAGE SIGNAL

      1. Connect AV control unit connector and rear view camera connector.

      2. Ignition switch ON.

      3. Shift the selector lever to “R” position

      4. Check the signal between AV control unit connector and ground.
