Description

• The buzzer for warning chime system is installed in the combination meter.

• The combination meter sounds the alarm buzzer based on the signals transmitted from various units.

1. CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL

   1. CONSULT

      1. Select “Data Monitor” mode of “METER/M&A”.

      2. Select “BUZZER”.

      3. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions:

         Monitor item	Condition	Status
         BUZZER	Under the condition of buzzer input	ON
         	Except above	OFF

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES>>

   Inspection End.

   NO>>

   Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

1. CHECK POWER SUPPLY OF COMBINATION METER

   1. Check power supply of combination meter. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure (Type A) or Diagnosis Procedure (Type B).

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES>>

   Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Installation.

   NO>>

   Repair power supply circuit of combination meter.

Front Seat Belt Buckle Switch Lh Signal Circuit. Component Function Check

1. CHECK BCM INPUT SIGNAL

   1. CONSULT

      Select “Data Monitor” mode of “BCM(BCM)” and check the “Seat belt switch (driver)” monitor value.

   YES >>

   Inspection End.

   NO >>

1. CHECK BCM INPUT SIGNAL

   1. 1. Ignition switch ON.

      2. Check voltage between BCM harness connector and ground.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES>>

   Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

2. CHECK FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH LH CIRCUIT

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect BCM harness connector and front seat belt buckle switch LH harness.

      3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and front seat belt buckle switch LH harness connector.

      4. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

   NO>>

   Repair or replace harness or connectors.

3. CHECK FRONT SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH LH GROUND CIRCUIT

   1. Check harness continuity between front seat belt buckle switch LH harness connector and ground.

   Is the inspection result normal?

   YES>>

   Check the front seat belt buckle switch. Refer to Component Inspection.

   NO>>

   Repair or replace harness or connectors.

   1. 1. Ignition switch OFF.

      2. Disconnect the front seat belt buckle switch LH.

      3. Check continuity between the front seat belt buckle switch LH terminals.

   YES >>

   Inspection End.

   NO >>

   Replace the front seat belt buckle switch LH. Refer to Removal and Installation.

      1. Select "PKB SW" in "Data Monitor" mode of "METER/M&A".

      2. Check that the function operates normally according to the following conditions:

   YES >>

   Inspection End.

   1. 1. Disconnect combination meter harness connector and parking brake switch harness connector.

      2. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector and parking brake switch harness connector.

   Replace the parking brake switch. Refer to Removal and Installation (with hand lever with rear drum brakes), Removal and Installation (with foot pedal with rear drum brakes), Removal and Installation (with hand lever with rear disc brakes) or Removal and Installation (with foot pedal with rear disc brakes).
