Using the steering wheel switch, the driver can select "Dismiss Message" to clear the display temporarily. If no selection is made, the message will turn off automatically after a short period. If it does not turn off automatically, this does not indicate a malfunction.
Using the steering wheel switch, the driver can select "Disable Alert" to deactivate the alert for the remainder of the current trip.
WARNING
Selecting "Dismiss Message" during a stop within a trip only temporarily dismisses the alert for that stop without turning the system off. Alerts may still be provided during other stops in the same trip. Selecting "Disable Alert" turns off the Rear Door Alert system for the remainder of the trip, and no audible alerts will be provided.
NOTE:
This system remains disabled until it is manually enabled by the driver using the vehicle information display.

Vehicle speed can still be controlled using the accelerator pedal, although engine output and speed may be limited until normal operating conditions return.
WARNING
When high fluid temperature protection mode is active, vehicle speed may be gradually reduced to a level lower than surrounding traffic. This may increase the risk of a collision. Drive with extreme caution. If necessary, safely pull over and allow the transmission to cool, or have the system inspected and repaired if required.
