  • Harness or connector (CAN communication line is error)

  • Power supply voltage circuit or ground circuit of the electric oil pump

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

  1. PREPARATION BEFORE WORK

    If another “DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE” occurs just before, ignition switch OFF and wait for at least 10 seconds, then perform the next test.

    TESTING CONDITION:

    Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 10 V.

    >>

    GO TO 2.

  2. CHECK DTC DETECTION

    1. Ignition switch ON and wait for at least 2 seconds.

    2. Check the DTC.

    Is "U0287-00" detected?

    YES >>

    Proceed to Diagnosis Procedure.

    NO-1>>

    To check malfunction symptom before repair: Refer to Intermittent Incident.

    NO-2>>

    Confirmation after repair: INSPECTION END

  1. CHECK IGNITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT

    1. Ignition switch OFF.

    2. Disconnect CVT unit harness connector.

    3. Check voltage between CVT unit harness connector terminal and ground.

    YES >>

    GO TO 4.

  2. CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN IPDM E/R AND CVT UNIT

    1. Ignition switch OFF.

    2. Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector.

    3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector terminal and CVT unit harness connector terminal.

    GO TO 3.

    NO >>

    Repair or replace damaged parts.

  3. DETECT MALFUNCTION ITEMS

    Check the following items:

    • Open circuit or short circuit in harness between ignition switch and IPDM E/R. Refer to Wiring Diagram.

    • Short circuit in harness between IPDM E/R harness connector terminal 70 and CVT unit harness connector terminal 21.

    • 10A fuse (No. 87)

    • IPDM E/R

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.

    NO >>

    Repair or replace damaged parts.

  4. CHECK ELECTRIC OIL PUMP POWER SUPPLY

    1. Ignition switch OFF.

    2. Disconnect CVT unit harness connector.

    3. Ignition switch ON.

    4. Check voltage between CVT unit harness connector terminal and ground.

    GO TO 6.

    NO >>

  5. CHECK ELECTRIC OIL PUMP POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

    Check the following items:

    • Open or short circuit of harness between battery positive terminal and CVT unit harness connector terminal 24.

    • 60A fusible link (No. L)

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    GO TO 6.

    NO >>

    Repair harness, connector, or fusible link

  6. CHECK ELECTRIC OIL PUMP GROUND CIRCUIT

    1. Ignition switch OFF.

    2. Check continuity between CVT unit harness connector terminal and ground.

    GO TO 7.

    NO >>

    Repair or replace damaged parts.

  7. CHECK ELECTRIC OIL PUMP CAN CIRCUIT - 1

    1. Ignition switch OFF.

    2. Disconnect TCM harness connector.

    3. Disconnect CVT unit harness connector.

    4. Check resistance between TCM harness connector terminals and CVT unit harness connector terminals.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES >>

    GO TO 8.

    NO >>

    Repair harness or connector.

  8. CHECK IGNITION SIGNAL CIRCUIT (CVT UNIT INTERNAL CIRCUIT)

    1. Remove control valve cover. Refer to Removal and Installation

      CAUTION:

      Never disconnect harness connector F102 inside the CVT unit. Refer to Wiring Diagram.

    2. Disconnect electric oil pump harness connector.

    3. Check continuity between CVT unit harness connector terminal and electric oil pump harness connector terminal.

    GO TO 9.

    Replace control valve due to harness connector malfunction. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  9. CHECK ELECTRIC OIL PUMP CAN CIRCUIT - 2

    Check resistance between CVT unit connector terminals and electric oil pump harness connector terminals.

    NO >>

    Replace control valve due to harness connector malfunction. Refer to Removal and Installation.

  10. REPLACE ELECTRIC OIL PUMP

    Replace electric oil pump. Refer to Removal and Installation.

    GO TO 11.

  11. CHECK DTC DETECTION

    Perform DTC confirmation procedure. Refer to DTC Description.

    Is "U0287-00" detected again?

    YES >>

    Replace TCM. Refer to Removal and Installation.

    NO >>
