Description
The parking brake warning is displayed during vehicle travel, even though the parking brake is released.
The parking brake warning is not displayed, even while driving the Nissan Sentra vehicle with the parking brake applied.
Diagnosis Procedure
CHECK PARKING BRAKE WARNING LAMP OPERATION
Start engine.
Check the operation of the brake warning lamp while operating the parking brake.

YES >>Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Installation.

CHECK PARKING BRAKE SWITCH
Check the parking brake switch. Refer to Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 3.
NO >>Replace parking brake switch.
CHECK PARKING BRAKE SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT
Ignition switch OFF.
Check the parking brake switch signal circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>Replace combination meter. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO >>Repair or replace harness or connector.
