1.	Rear sonar sensor RH inner	Refer to Sonar Sensor.
2.	Rear sonar sensor RH outer	Refer to Sonar Sensor.
3.	Around view monitor control unit (if equipped)	Refer to Around View Monitor Control Unit. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
4.	ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistant System) control unit	Transmits the following signals to sonar control unit via CAN communication: Sound alert request signal Receives the following signals from sonar control unit via CAN communication: Detection length signal Detection level signal Sonar system mode status signal Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
5.	ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) actuator and electric unit (control unit)	Transmits the following signals to sonar control unit via CAN communication: Wheel speed signal Steering wheel angle corrected signal Nissan Sentra Vehicle speed signal Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
6.	Distance sensor	Refer to Distance Sensor. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
7.	TCM (Transmission Control Module) (if equipped)	Transmits the following signals to sonar control unit via CAN communication: Gear lever position signal Transmission range engaged signal Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
8.	ECM (Engine Control Module)	Transmits powertrain wheel torque signal to sonar control unit via CAN communication. Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
9.	IPDM (Intelligent Power Distribution Module Engine Room)	Transmits the following signals to sonar control unit via CAN communication: Battery voltage signal Reverse signal Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
10.	BCM (Body Control Module)	Transmits the following signals to sonar control unit via CAN communication: Door switch state signal Trailer presence signal Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
11.	Chassis control module (with built in steering angle sensor)	Transmits the following signals to sonar control unit via CAN communication: Steering wheel angle signal Braking performance status signal Refer to Component Parts Location for detailed component location.
12.	Sonar control unit	Refer to Sonar Control Unit.
13.	Rear sonar sensor LH outer	Refer to Sonar Sensor.
14.	Rear sonar sensor LH inner	Refer to Sonar Sensor.
15. Sonar Control Unit

Sonar Control Unit

Sonar control unit is installed behind the luggage side lower finisher (LH).
Sonar control unit outputs a buzzer signal for audible alert.
On Nissan Sentra vehicles with rear view monitor system with camera assisted sonar, sonar sensor signals are received by the sonar control unit and transmitted to the AV control unit and combination meter via CAN communication.
On Nissan Sentra vehicles with Intelligent around view monitor system with camera assisted sonar, sonar sensor signals are received by the sonar control unit and transmitted to the around view monitor control unit and combination meter via CAN communication.

Sonar Sensor

The sonar sensors are installed in the rear bumper fascias.
When a distance from an obstacle is detected, a signal is transmitted to the sonar control unit.

Sonar Buzzer

Sonar Buzzer

The sonar buzzer is located behind the instrument lower panel LH.
The sonar buzzer sounds with the signal from the sonar control unit.
