INSPECTION
Remove the inspection hole plug from the back plate. Refer to Exploded View.
Check the
brake shoe wear thickness (A).

INSPECTION
Appearance
Check the surface of the brake drum for uneven wear, cracks, or damage. Replace the brake drum if any abnormal conditions exist. Refer to Removal and Installation.
Brake Drum Inner Diameter
Check the maximum inner diameter (B) of the brake drum. Replace the brake drum if the maximum inner diameter is greater than the limit. Refer to Removal and Installation.
