DTC Description

The customer reports CVT judder (shake, shudder, single or multiple bumps or vibration) hesitation on acceleration, lack of power or RPM flare. And If DTC P17F0-07 is detected on customer's Nissan Sentra vehicle, this diagnosis is required. However, if DTC P17F0-07 is detected on the vehicle without the above phenomena, this diagnosis is not required. (Because DTC may be detected even if there is no problem.)

CVT belt and pulleys

FAIL-SAFE

Not changed from normal driving

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

The customer reports CVT judder (shake, shudder, single or multiple bumps or vibration) hesitation on acceleration, lack of power or RPM flare. And If DTC P17F0-07 is detected on customer's Nissan Sentra vehicle, this diagnosis is required. However, if DTC P17F0-07 is detected on the vehicle without the above phenomena, this diagnosis is not required. (Because DTC may be detected even if there is no problem.)

1. CHECK DTC DETECTION

   With CONSULT

   1. Ignition switch ON and wait for 10 seconds.

   2. Start the engine.

   3. Perform test drive for 5 minutes or more.

      CAUTION:

      Be careful of the driving speed.

   4. Stop the Nissan Sentra vehicle.

   5. Check the DTC.

   Is "P17F0-07" detected and is "judder" (shake, shudder, single or multiple bumps or viblation) occurred?

   YES >>

   Go to DTC Diagnosis Procedure.

   NO >>

   INSPECTION END

1. REPLACE BELT AND PULLEYS

   Replace belt and pulleys. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly.
