Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
3. Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
  - A/C auto amp. (With auto A/C)
  - A/C amp. (With manual A/C)
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>
GO TO 2.
NO >>
Repair the terminal and connector.

CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Disconnect the following connectors.
- A/C auto amp. (With auto A/C)
- A/C amp. (With manual A/C)

Check the resistance between the following harness connector terminals.

With auto A/C

A/C auto amp. harness connector			Resistance (Ω)
Connector No.	Terminal No.
M34	50	70	Approx. 54 – 66

With manual A/C

A/C amp. harness connector			Resistance (Ω)
Connector No.	Terminal No.
M82	50	70	Approx. 54 – 66

Is the measurement value within the specification?

YES >>

GO TO 3.

NO >>

Repair the following.

A/C auto amp. branch line (With auto A/C)
A/C amp. branch line (With manual A/C)

CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT

Check the power supply and the ground circuit of the A/C auto amp. (With auto A/C) or A/C amp. (With manual A/C). Refer to the following.
- With automatic air conditioning: Diagnosis Procedure
- With manual air conditioning: Diagnosis Procedure
Is the inspection result normal?
YES (Present error) >>
Replace the A/C auto amp. (With auto A/C) or A/C amp. (With manual A/C). Refer to the following.
- With automatic air conditioning: Removal and Installation
- With manual air conditioning: Removal and Installation
YES (Past error) >>
Error was detected in the following.
- A/C auto amp. branch line (With auto A/C)
- A/C amp. branch line (With manual A/C)
NO >>
Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
