CHECK EPS CONTROL UNIT POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
-
Check the EPS control unit power supply and ground circuit. Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>GO TO 2.
NO >>Repair open circuit or short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors, and repair or replace malfunctioning components.

CHECK TERMINAL

Check the EPS control unit harness connector terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.

Check the fuse block (J/B) harness connector terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
-
Check the EPS control unit pin terminals for damage or loose connection with harness connector.
-
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >>EPS control unit is malfunctioning. Replace steering gear assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation.
NO >>Repair or replace harness or connector.
