Nissan Sentra B18 (2020-2025) Service Manual: Diagnosis Procedure

Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY SYSTEM SYMPTOM TABLE

    1. Check Intelligent Key system symptom table.

      Refer to Diagnosis Procedure.

    >>

    GO TO 2.

  2. PERFORM SELF DIAGNOSTIC RESULT

    1. CONSULT

      Select “Self Diagnostic Result” mode of “HANDS FREE MODULE”, and check if DTC is detected.

    Is DTC detected?

    YES>>

    Perform the trouble diagnosis for detected DTC.

    NO>>

    GO TO 3.

  3. CHECK OUTSIDE KEY ANTENNA

    1. Use SIGNAL TECH II to check each outside key antenna. For the inspection method and how to use SIGNAL TECH II, refer to “NISSAN/INFINITI SIGNAL TECH II USER GUIDE”.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 4.

    NO>>

    GO TO 5.

  4. CHECK INTELLIGENT KEY OUTPUT SIGNAL

    1. Use SIGNAL TECH II to check Intelligent Key outside signal. For the inspection method and how to use SIGNAL TECH II, refer to “NISSAN/INFINITI SIGNAL TECH II USER GUIDE”.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 6.

    NO>>

    Replace the malfunctioning outside key antenna.

  5. CHECK DOOR REQUEST SWITCH

    1. Check each door request switch.

      • Front door: Refer to Component Inspection.

      • Trunk lid: Refer to Component Inspection.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    GO TO 6.

    NO>>

    Repair or replace the malfunctioning parts.

  6. REPLACE INTELLIGENT KEY UNIT

      1. Replace Intelligent Key unit. Refer to Removal and installation.

      2. Check operation after replacement.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES>>

    Inspection End.

    NO>>

    Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident.
