Nissan Sentra Vehicle Configuration

Before ECU Replacement

  • Reads the Nissan Sentra vehicle configuration of the current BCM.

  • Saves the read vehicle configuration.

After ECU Replacement

Manual selection

Writes the Nissan Sentra vehicle configuration with manual selection.

Operation Log Selection

Writes the read Nissan Sentra vehicle configuration.

CAUTION:

When replacing the BCM, always perform “Re/programming, Configuration” with CONSULT, or not doing so, the BCM control function may not operate normally.

After installing a new BCM service part, if the Intelligent Key UNLOCK button is pressed before performing the configuration with CONSULT, certain BCM configuration parameters will be permanently locked in the default setting; one of these parameter is remote engine start.

  • Complete the procedure of “Re/programming, Configuration” in order.

  • Configuration is different for each Nissan Sentra vehicle model. Confirm configuration of each vehicle model.

  • Never save vehicle configuration to the BCM used by other cars.

  • If you set incorrect Nissan Sentra vehicle configuration, incidents might occur.

It is not necessary to register Intelligent Keys to a new BCM.

Before pairing of the BCM and Intelligent Key unit, always write the BCM configuration, or not doing so, the BCM control function will not operate normally.

  1. WRITING MODE SELECTION

    1. CONSULT

      Select “Re/programming, Configuration” .

    When writing saved data>>

    GO TO 2.

    When writing manually>>

    GO TO 3.

  2. WHEN WRITING SAVED DATA

    1. CONSULT

      Select the operation according to the CONSULT screen.

    YES >>

    GO TO 4.

  3. WHEN WRITING MANUALLY

    1. CONSULT

      1. Select “Manual selection”.

      2. Identify the correct model and configuration list. Refer to Configuration List.

      3. Confirm and/or change setting value for each item.

        CAUTION:

        Thoroughly understand the Nissan Sentra vehicle specification. ECU control will not operate normally if the setting is not correct.

        Note:
        • If items are not displayed, select “Next”.

        • Each item differs for each Nissan Sentra vehicle depending on specification.

      4. Select “Next”.

      5. Select “OK”.

        CAUTION:

        Make sure to select “OK” even if the indicated configuration of a brand new BCM is the same as the desirable configuration. If not, configuration, which is set automatically by selecting the Nissan Sentra vehicle model, cannot be memorized.

      6. Check that the configuration has been successfully written and select “End”.

    YES >>

    GO TO 4.

  4. OPERATION CHECK

    1. Confirm that each function controlled by the BCM operates normally.

    YES >>

    Work End.
