Description
Since vehicle specifications are not included in the ADAS control unit 2 after replacement, it is required to write Nissan Sentra vehicle specifications using CONSULT.
Configuration has three functions as follows:

Allows the writing of the Nissan Sentra vehicle specification into the ADAS control unit 2 by hand. |

Work Procedure
CAUTION:
Use “Manual Configuration” only when “TYPE ID” of ADAS control unit 2 cannot be read.
If an error occurs during configuration, start over from the beginning.
CHECKING TYPE ID (1)
Use EPC (service parts catalog) to search ADAS control unit 2 of the applicable Nissan Sentra vehicle and find “Type ID”.
Is “Type ID” displayed?
YES >>Print out “Type ID” and GO TO 2.
NO >>“Configuration” is not required for ADAS control unit 2. Replace in the usual manner. Refer to Removal and Installation.
CHECKING TYPE ID (2)
CONSULT Configuration
Select “Before Replace ECU” of “Read/Write Configuration”.
Check that “Type ID” is displayed on the CONSULT screen.
Is “Type ID” displayed?
YES >>GO TO 3.
NO >>GO TO 7.
VERIFYING TYPE ID (1)
CONSULT Configuration
Compare a “Type ID” displayed on the CONSULT screen with the one searched by using EPC (service parts catalog) to check that these “Type ID” agree with each other.
Note:
For the “Type ID” searched by using EPC (service parts catalog), use the last five digits of the “Type ID”.
>>GO TO 4.
SAVING TYPE ID
CONSULT Configuration
Save “Type ID” on CONSULT.
>>GO TO 5.
REPLACING ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2 (1)
Replace ADAS control unit 2. Refer to Removal and Installation.
>>GO TO 6.
WRITING (AUTOMATIC WRITING)
CONSULT Configuration
Select “After Replace ECU” of “Re/programming, Configuration” or that of “Read / Write Configuration”.
Select the “Type ID” agreeing with the one stored on CONSULT and the one searched by using EPC (service parts catalog) to write the “Type ID” into the ADAS control unit 2.
Note:
For the “Type ID” searched by using EPC (service parts catalog), use the last five digits of the “Type ID”.
GO TO 9.
REPLACING ADAS CONTROL UNIT 2 (2)
Replace ADAS control unit 2. Refer to Removal and Installation.
>>GO TO 8.
WRITING (MANUAL WRITING)
CONSULT Configuration
Select “Manual Configuration”.
Select the “Type ID” searched by using EPC (service parts catalog) to write the “Type ID” into the ADAS control unit 2.
Note:
For the “Type ID” searched by using EPC (service parts catalog), use the last five digits of the “Type ID”.
GO TO 9.
VERIFYING TYPE ID (2)
Compare “Type ID” written into the ADAS control unit 2 with the one searched by using EPC (service parts catalog) to check that these “Type ID” agree with each other.
Note:
For the “Type ID” searched by using EPC (service parts catalog), use the last five digits of the “Type ID”.
>>GO TO 10.
RESTART ADAS BY IGN OFF/IGN ON
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Turn the ignition switch ON.
GO TO 11.
PERFORMING SUPPLEMENTARY WORK
Perform “Self Diagnostic Result” of all systems.
Erase “Self Diagnostic Result”.
End of work.
